18 Sierra started because too many good business owners kept hearing the same answer from the same kind of lender. We place capital directly and bring in partners when we need to, doing the work other lenders won't.

The name

18S

U.S. Army MOS · Special Forces

"18 Series" is the Army's identifier for Special Forces.

The job: small teams, hard problems, places nobody else wants to go. That mindset became the playbook for how we do capital. Show up prepared, do the work, finish what you start.

How we work

Less posture. More problem-solving.

Most lenders are built to say no to anything complicated. It's automation, rigid rules, and a thick layer of bankers. If your deal fits the box, you get an answer. If it doesn't, you get an email a week later that says "unfortunately."

We're built the other way. A small team, our own capital, and real relationships with the partners who lend theirs. When you bring us a deal, you talk to someone who can actually think about it, not just check it against a rule.

Sometimes that means we can structure something the big shops can't. Sometimes it means we'll tell you fast that we can't help, and we'll point you to someone who can.

Show up prepared

We do our homework before the call. You shouldn't have to explain your own deal twice.

Tell the truth fast

If a deal can't get done, we say so quickly. If it can, we tell you what it'll really cost.

Stay after the wire

We want the next deal too. That means we're around long after the first one closes.
